Synthesis of linkage region oligosaccharides
Challenge : Synthesis of a library of variously sulfated and modified oligosaccharides of the linkage region – Influence of the substitution on the glycosylaminyltransferases involved in the orientation of the GAG chains.
A large library of various sulfated trisaccharides of the linkage region bearing different aglycones has been synthesized.
Currently, we focus our work on the design and synthesis of modified oligosaccharides of the linkage region as potential inhibitors of the enzymes involved in the orientation of the biosynthesis.
