The front of the ICOA

The Institute of Organic and Analytical Chemistry (ICOA) is located on the Orleans la Source campus. It was funded by the Regional council as part of state-Region contracts. Its designers are the architect’s office SBM (5/7 rue de Saintonge, PARIS) and the design office B.P.A Engineering (45, rue de Fécamp PARIS).

It was inaugurated Thursday 12th December 1996 by François d’Aubert ( State Secretary for Research), Bernard Gerard (Prefect of Region Centre and Prefect of Loiret), Nicole Ferrier-Caveriniere (Rector of Orleans-Tours Academy and Chancellor of Universities), Maurice Dousset (President of the Regional Council of Region Centre) and Didier Billard (President of the University of Orleans).

ICOA contains two floors, with a total net floor area, including clearances (net floor area) of 2963 m2. Part of the building is devoted to teach chemistry. Its equipment was funded by Region Centre and the State.
